Strong Together at the Launch of Our Frozen Central Warehouse in Willich

Saturday, February 28, 2026, was more than just an inventory date. It was a visible sign of what defines DEH: solidarity, commitment, and true teamwork across locations.

At our new frozen central warehouse in Willich, existing employees — many with years of experience at the site — joined forces with volunteer helpers from the DEH headquarters in Gevelsberg to prepare the inventory for the official transition to in-house operations. Between pallets, scanners, and sub-zero temperatures, counting, organizing, and documenting took place — but above all, everyone rolled up their sleeves.

A Strong Signal at the Right Time

DEH is strengthening its logistics capabilities and will take over the frozen storage facility in Willich, North Rhine-Westphalia, previously operated by the Nagel Group, including all employees, effective March 1, 2026.

With around 8,000 pallet spaces, the warehouse will serve as DEH’s central frozen storage hub, consolidating the company’s entire product portfolio. From here, we supply customers throughout Germany – five days per week, delivering nationwide within 24 hours starting from just 60 kg free to the customer’s door in every postal code area.

With an investment of approximately €7 million, the company is further expanding its expertise along the value chain. DEH is sending a clear signal for growth and improved product availability for its approximately 3,150 customers.

What made this day special was not only the organizational achievement, but the remarkable team spirit. Employees from different departments and locations worked side by side with one shared goal: ensuring a smooth start.

Willich is therefore not only the logistical heart of our operations, but also another strong link connecting our four locations.
